Kiplings poem reads -

I keep six honest serving-men
(They taught me all I know);
Their names are What and Why and When
And How and Where and Who.

Often we think of applying these questions to the smaller things in life. Apply it to the larger things in our life and when we have honest and truthful answers about the larger things in life like why are we here, what should we busy ourselves with, what is our souls about, our destinies, life after death etc etc. then we can confidently embrace whatever life has to offer and it wont devastate or knock us back as severely as it might do if we really didn't understand what its all about.
